Hackberry

Hackberry

Hackberry is an indigenous tree of Mediterranean areas, which spread in Europe thanks to its cultivation. Another popular name of Hackberry is "stone-breaker", indicating its attitude to live in rocky soils and to provoke cracks into the walls and into the stones with its wide and strong roots. It is a tree very suitable for cities, because it bears atmospheric pollution in the big urban areas full of traffic.
