Maple Walk Photography: Maria Vlahos Autumn
Season of mists and mellow fruitfullness, Mount Usher is bursting
with color in the autumn. The Maple Walk (pictured left) is a perfect
example of this as the Japanese Maples and the Golden Larch are
ablaze with colour.

At ground level as well, various mushrooms start making their
appearance, the Toad Stool being one of the most attractive.

Popularly known as 'Sweet Gum', Liquidambar styraciflua, shows
a gaunt of colors in the year. The dark green leaves erupt into
oranges, reds and purples with the onset of autumn. (Below right)
