The subscription rate is voluntary, but the suggested rate is 0.1% of income/turnover, i.e. self-applied Tobin tax.
This means if you are on social welfare in Ireland the rate is around £4 per year.
If, on the other hand, you happen to be on £20 K per annum, then the rate is £20.
If on the other hand again you happen to be a Fortune 500 company with a $2.5 billion turnover, you pay $2.5 million per year. On the bright side, should your sales (or your income) happen to fall next year, so does your subscription to GRIAN.
Needless to say, if you do happen to be a Fortune 500 company (or representative thereof) we would be particularly interested in talking to you.
From
next January 1st., the rate remains the same, but all amounts will be in
Euros.
If you are interested in volunteering time, skills, and commitment to GRIAN, we would be particularly interested in hearing from you.
We are currently particularly seeking administrative, book-keeping and business and legal skills. Also researchers with a particular interest in any aspect of climate or climate-related issues and/or problems. Location is not an issue, providing you are on line most of the time, and are prepared to travel within Ireland about once a month for logistical meetings.
