Sligo has many facilities to offer visitors. Because of its position,
Harbour House is close to all amenities such as sea and lake fishing,
shark fishing, scuba diving, bowling, swimming, golfing, windsurfing,
sailing, and many other outdoor and indoor pursuits. All are just within
minutes of Harbour House.
If you wish to eat out, Sligo has many restaurants and hotels which provide
the most varied of menus, sure to please the most discerning of tastes.
There are five Nightclubs in Sligo, providing music till late all through
the week, not to mention the array of pubs with live music and good
conversation, which every visitor should go out and sample.
Within a five mile radius of Sligo town are the contrasting beaches at
Rosses Point and Strandhill. The Yacht Club at Rosses Point has hosted
many national and international sailing events. Both have excellent golf
links and in 1991 Rosses Point hosted the Home International Championships.
Strandhill is rapidly earning a reputation as an ideal centre for surfing.
It hosts national and international events each year.

There are regular train services to Sligo from Connolly Station, Dublin
(phone: 01-8366222). Sligo is included on daily bus routes from Derry,
Donegal, Belfast, Enniskillen, and Galway. And if that's not enough,
Sligo has its own airport at Strandhill, five miles from Harbour House,
with daily flights from Dublin.
