Herbie Brennan’s Bookshelf

A sculpture has been set up in the walled garden of Herbie Brennan’s Irish home to commemorate a visitation he experienced prior to writing his best-selling Faerie Wars fantasy series.

The fibreglass figure, specially commissioned by Herbie’s wife Jacquie Burgess, was created by the internationally-acclaimed sculptor Catherine Greene (seen at work on the piece below).

The sculpture was first built in wax over a metal framework, then cast in fibreglass and painted. The vision that inspired it was Herbie’s first introduction to the faerie realms.
