Leading Irish players: Alan Ludgate

CC-SIM Alan Ludgate (2527) is our highest rated active player and one of our Senior International Masters. He has also represented Ireland over the board on many occasions.

He has recently been playing a World Championship Three-Quarter Final but has not had time for other events. He hopes to be able to resume high-level play towards the end of next year after retiring from work.

In the game below, played about 8 years ago, Alan defeats the man who will probably be the next Correspondence World Champion.
