After a Review Meeting of the Project it was agreed to alter the course of the project, to start in the development of the Training Modules and postpone the development of the design of the ICT solution until Quarter 2 1999. Here below are a sample of the training modules.

Duration of the course is a day and a half to be held on the 21st and 22nd of December.

Topics covered are understanding Financial Statements such as the Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet, Budgeting, Corporate Finance, Role of Finance in a Business. Included also is a Casestudy similar to SIFA Formats.

Evaluation will be a half day review to be held in January.

This training module is still in development and will be run in the New Year.

The objectives of the Modules are

• the understanding of information, its sources, relationship and flows
• the appreciation of business and user needs on the information available within the organisation
• guidelines on information storage
• guidelines on the creation of a CD learning tool and support booklet for Information Management within the SIFA Organisation.

An Internal Evaluation Form will be completed monthly and reviewed by the Steering Team.

Steering Team meetings will be set for certain Milestones during the project and for time in strategic review which will be 6-monthly.

• to take part in the training and therefore evaluate the training
• to be certified on ECDL
• to have an input into the design of the Information Communication Technology solution to the project

As explained above our Internal Evaluators are our Steering Team.

Our External Evaluators are Department of Computer Science in Trinity College. They are evaluating the project with focus on "Team Learning and Information Technology" covering some issues such as the value of the research carried out as part of the project and the identification of the key implications of the project activity for the continuing development of the learning organisation.

Each training modules will be designed with Company Content and customised to meet specific SIFA requirements. Evaluation of the training will take place after the programme is finished based on what they have learned and how it was applied. Internal Trainers will be trained to deliver these modules.
