By air to Dublin, Cork, Shannon or Farranfore and bus to Killarney.
By ferry to Cork (90 mins to Event Centre), Rosslare (4 hours to Event Centre),
or Dublin (5 hours to Event Centre), and bus/car to Killarney.
6 men and 6 women for individual events.
2 men's teams and 2 women's teams for relay events (3 runners in each team)
3 parallel races for both men and women. The first 20 from each group go to the A final, no 21 - 40 from each group go to the B final and the rest go to the C final.

The qualifier and classic distance terrain is located in Glenflesk, Co. Kerry, 16km from the event centre in Killarney. The terrain is hilly rough open complex moorland.
The relay terrain is mainly hilly mixed forest, parkland and some rough open areas only 2km from the event centre.

Transport from the accomodation sites to the event venues and back to the accomodation sites can be arranged by the organiser. This transport will only be arranged if there is sufficient demand for it. A minimum of 100 is required and costs will then be approx. IR£5 per day. Please indicate your requirements on the entry form. Competitors may use private cars/mini-bus if they wish. All other transports during the event will have to be paid for separately and again this depends on demand. Note: the relay venue (Day 3) is within walking/running distance (2km) of the Event Centre.
