The IPC Vision Plan |

1. Training Camp in Empuriabrava, Spain, from 26th of June until July 17th 2000. Planning to make 120 coached and videoed dives. As of 18th July, the first training camp was completed very successfully. Under the excellent coaching of members of the Spanish national team, we completed 100 videoed training dives together. We concentrated primarily on becoming familiar with the techniques of the 24 blocks in the 2000 dive pool. At the end of 100 jumps, we were completing, on average, 8 point block drill dives in competition time. |

2. Compete in the Irish Nationals in Aug/September 2000, with the intention and becoming the National Team to represent Ireland at the 2001 World Air Games. As of September 10th, this goal has now been achieved. IPC vision attained a 7.6 point average in the open 4-way FS competition event (See the Dive Draw) at the Irish Nationals held at the Wild Geese dropzone on the 9th/10th September 2000. |
3. Complete another training camp (approximately 100 coached dives) at Skydive Deland, Florida, USA in April 2001. We also plan to compete at meet 4 of the Florida Skydiving League in Lake Wales. In April 2001, IPC Vision completed 100 training jumps in Deland, Florida, under the excellent coaching of Shannon Pilcher. 4. To represent Ireland at the World Air Games in Spain 2001 with at least 250 training dives behind us and a consistent 9 to 10 point average. In June 2001, IPC Vision represented Ireland at the second World Air Games in Granada Spain. Despite the slow draw, the team scored an average of 9.8 over 8 rounds, leaving them in 18th place out of 34, check out the scoreboard!. Soon after returning home, the team retained the Irish National 4-Way Championship at their home dropzone, with a score of 10.2. |
