Friday next is the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Lady (Lá 'le Muire sa bhFómhar) and is a Holyday of Obligation. Masses at the usual times on Thursday evening and Friday morning.
We welcome into our Christian community Alexander Benedict McGinley, son of Hughie and Una, Carraroe.
Congratulations and best wishes to Stella O'Connell, Rowantree Gardens, and Michael Flynn, Main Street, who were married in Collooney Church on Sun 3rd August.
Collooney Tidytown members meet every Wed at Fairgreen Park at 7.30pm to tidy the town. Next Wed (13th August), Collooney Tidytowns will be focusing on the Grotto area and they are looking for helpers ....they would be grateful if you could give them one hour of your week. Bring along any equipment you feel would be useful. Please come and show your support.
The Kilvarnet Cemetery Care Committee wishes to thank all involved in the preparations for the Cemetery Mass on Wednesday last. The amount raised so far is €1300.
The National Novena 2008 at Knock Shrine runs each day from Thursday 14th August until Friday 22nd August. Two sessions daily at 3.00pm and 8.30pm except on Friday 15th and Sunday 17th, when ceremonies commence with anointing of the sick at 2.30pm. The list of speakers (a different speaker each day) may be found on our notice-board.
Three Day Pilgrimage - Begin any day until 13th August. Cost: €50.
One Day Retreats - See our notice-board for days available. Cost: €27.
Family Day - 30th August. Cost: Adults €20 / Children €10.

Cemetery Mass
Weather permitting, the 11.30am Mass today will be in St. Nathy's Cemetery.

Envelopes for the Cemetery Maintenance Collection are available at the rear of the church or you may make your contribution for the care of the cemetery in any other way.
