Friday 3rd August

Saturday 4th August
11.30 am: Outing: Tour of Manorhamilton area to include Hamilton's Castle, Market House, Fever Hospital, Famine Graveyard, Sean Mac Diarmada's Home, etc. Guide: Prin Duignan, M.A.

8.30 pm: Lecture:Dating the Past - Tree Rings, Carbon 14 and Ice Cores. John Dayton, B.Sc, PhD, Baron of Corran.

Sunday 5th August
2.00 pm. Outing: Art, Design, and Family History - some places of Cultural Interest in the environs of Ballymote. Guide: John Maiben Gilmartin, MA, DIT School of Art, Design and Printing.

8.30 pm. Lecture:From Sligo to Valparaiso. John Maiben Gilmartin MA.

Monday 6th August
9.30 am: Outing: Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar; Multyfarnham Franciscan Friary.

8.30 pm: Lecture: Jane Austen's Irish Friend. Jeffry Lefroy, Carrickglass Manor

Ballymote Heritage Group was founded in May 1984. Monthly meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month. As a highlight of the year's activities a Heritage Weekend has been organised on each August Bank Holiday since 1990. This has brought the Group's work to a much wider audience.
An annual publication, The CORRAN HERALD has been produced and published by the Group since 1985.
