Obviously some names shown as debenturers were nothing of the kind ,but as the record was transcribed over two hundred years after the Cromwellian War, the "Debenturer Column" reflects Restoration adjustments. Where there are "divisions" of an area these do not add up correctly either. However, the greatest advantage of Petty's Down Survey is that it reflect acres, roods and perches instead of the unquantifiable "Colpe" of the Civil Survey, and it records the names of persons to whom the confiscated lands of the Irish/Anglo-Irish were assigned.
