Released as a 7" single (1,000
copies) in a 14"x14" foldout sleeve, on Joy Division's own Enigma label in June
1978 (Enigma PSS139), The label was changed due to the fact there alrady wasan label
called Enigma. They changed it to Anonymous Records, and released "An Ideal For
Living" as a 12" single (1,200 copies) Autumn 1978 (Anonymous ANON1). The
original sleeve was designed by Bernard Sumner. The 12" sleeve with the scaffolding
was designed by Steve McGarry.

"And Then Again".
"Komakino" was also released
in an US edition, which is a different pressing than the UK one, it's made by Evatone
Soundsheets. A US fanzine called The Other Sound gave this flexi away in 1980(?) with one
of their issues, including a black & white picture cover. |

"Love Will Tear Us Apart"
was also released as a 7" (promo) single in Spain in 1981, with a stickered
(12") sleeve, and a small paper sheet. The songtitles are translated in Spanish
"El Amor Nos Separata" and "Estos Dias (This days)", including the
mistake in the english translation. And also as a 7" single in Poland in 1989 with
"She's Lost Control" from the "Unknown Pleasures" album on the b-side,
and an unique sleeve. Origanl sleeve by Peter S. Reached no 19 in British Charts. |
