Kells Tourist Office
Meath Tourism maintains an office in the Town Hall. There you will find helpful advice on what to see and a great quantity of guidebooks and information on the general area. Apart from the remains in Kells, there are interesting things to see towards Drogheda - Passage Graves, the site of the Battle of the Boyne and the town of Slane. The Town Hall, which older residents may remember as The Hibernian Bank, has been much modified. The Tourist Office is situated within the Town Hall, in an elegant row of buildings opposite the modern St. Colmcille's Roman Catholic church. The building now forms part of a complex of offices, developed behind the old bank building, reflecting our sense of civic pride in where we live. |
