Athletics of Ardrahan.
Athletics have been a feature in Ardrahan for some time now. Some people have made it to Mosney and won out their competition.
The races are 60m, 80m, 80m hurdles, 100m, 100m hurdles,
200m, 500, 800m. Before you go to Mosney you run for your County. The medals for 1st is Gold 2nd is Silver 3rd is Bronze.
If you win your county you represent them.
We have a sports day once a year in summer.
In the athletics there is some times 2 heats and usually 3 heats.
Derek Monahan has came third place. Last year the trainers were Brian Mullins David Monahan. The organisers are Mary Monahan, Gerry Mannion, Tosh Brennan, Rose Brennan and Mary Murphy.

Rugby is after starting in Labane. The trainer is Brendan Greally. He has got team’s to Mosney Holiday camp before now. It is for Under 11 boys. He does this for Community Games.
We have had a great interest in Quizzes in Labane for a few years now. We got a team to Mosney last year and we got 9th in that quiz. The trainer is Gerry Mannion. We got 1stin Galway last year and we won the Galway trophy we were the 1st team ever to
win the torphy. The two trainers do it voluntarily.Community games are in Galway and all the Counties in Ireland. The Community games are in Labane and Ardrahan. Ardrahan is the main place between Labane and Ardrahan. Community games are in Ardrahan for a long time. Community games are good fun and people make new friends. Many people go to Mosney for a weekend. If they get to Mosney they take part in a sport against other counties. Many famous people have taken part in Community games in Monsey. Some of the sports for Individual people are Art, Judo, Running, Swimming, Cycling, High Jump, Long Jump, Discus and Javelin. Some of the team are Badminton, hurling, camogie, chess, basketball, soccer, rugby, quiz, variety, rounders and volleyball.

Our Pets:
In our school there are many children with many different types of pets. There are Dogs, Cats, Horses, Asses, among others. Nearly every month there is a hunt in Ardrahan. Hunts feature lots of dogs especially bred for hunting and of course, horses. The dogs sniff out the foxes and kill them. Then the people on the horses bring sticks to hunt.

Well I have a dog whose name is Sandy. She is a cross between a Labrador and a collie, Also Laura has a dog. His name is Fido. He is a Terrier.
Every year there is a Tullaia Show in Labane. There are dogs, horses, cats, and sheep.
Nearly every year Kathleen’s cat always has 26 kitten and she has a dog his name is Andrea.
