In what turned out to be a thrilling game, the homeside Lahardane emerged victorious by three points. Lahardane had four sets of brothers playing with the most notable duo, Patrick Leonard and Declan stealing the limelight. Patrick scoring one goal and younger brother Declan grabbing 3-5.

Ballycastle were without the services of John Madden, who was helping Mayo win in their opening National League game.
