On a wet evening at Crossmolina, Lahardane played some fine possession football against a lively Ballina to win this Division 4 play-off.

Lahardane’s James Gillespie arrived just in time for the start after playing for Mayo U-21’s against Roscommon and inspired Lahardane to a 0-6 to 0-3 lead at half time.

Ballina rallied with a fine goal only for Declan Leonard to find the net from a narrow angle. Points from Vinnie and Tom Cawley and Noel Blake sealed a good win for Lahardane.
