Knowing it was a game they had to win in order to be in the shake-up, Lahardane travelled to Ballina and set about their task from the very start.

The forwards had a new lease of life and were 0-9 to 0-3 ahead at the interval.

Ballina did break through for a goal but Lahardane replied straight away to register the Nephinsiders most impressive win in the campaign.
