With home advantage in this semi final for Lahardane the Nephinsiders made hard work of beating a good Killala team. Killala missed several chances in the first half which would have put them in a better position than level at four points each at the interval. Cormac Rowland scored in a goalmouth scramble in the first attack of the second half. Daire Nolan saved a penalty and when Seamus Coleman set up yet another score, Declan Garrett’s goal, the game was killed off.
