In their final away game of the season, Lahardane had to work very hard to return with two points from Kilmovee to stay in line for promotion. That will be decided between themselves and Aughamore in the final fixture at Glenhest.

Early scores by half back John McDonnell and the first of Shane Blake's points were quickly cancelled out by the east Mayo side.

Lahardane missed a penalty which came off the butt of the post but still held a 0-8 to 0-3 lead at the break, Kilmovee having been reduced to fourteen men.

Padraig Leonard, Damien Kelly and Ray McDermott held firm in Lahardane's very strong full back line as Lahardane kept their lead topped up in the second half.
