Lahardane improved their league position when they returned from Lacken with two valuable division two points.

When the sides met in the B championship Lahardane were run ragged, but they were in much more determined mood on this occasion and emerged as worthy five point winners.

Lacken were reduced to fourteen men in the first half but it wasn't until the second half that Lahardane took advantage of their numerical advantage. However it was Lacken who led at the break thanks to two late goals.

Lahardane scored some good points in the second half but on each occasion Lacken responded but it took a goal from Gerry McGreevey and an o.g. from a goalmouth scramble for Lahardane to gather two priceless points.
