The Miners Way
& Historical Trail

Access

The Way avoids roads and traffic as much as possible and seeks to follow quieter tracks and paths. In order to help maintain this happy situation, please observe the following:

- Respect farmland and the rural environment.
- Guard against all risks of fire, especially near forests.
- Leave all farm gates as you find them.
- Always keep children under close control and supervision.
- Avoid entering farmland containing livestock.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Always use gates & stiles and avoid damage to fences, walls etc.
- Take all your litter home.
- Take care on country roads.
- Protect wildlife, plants abd trees.
- Keep to the Waymarked Way.
- Do not block farm enterances when parking.

Long distance walking routes are set up for walking. Whilst parts of this Way may be suitable for mountain biking or horse riding, there will be other sections where such usage will cause serious erosion: only use surfaced tracks. Walkers for similar reasons are asked not to travel in large groups. you may encounter flocks of sheep in places so dogs do need to be kept under strict control.
