Humbert in Drumcong

 

Before the 1798 rebellion, Humbert marched through the parish. He marched through eight townlands in the parish. He and his army entered at Drumkeelan and exited at Keshcarrigan . At mid-day, he called to Letterfine House in search of food and drink.Reynolds, the owner wasn't home. Some of the men visited Laheen house and took goods that belonged to the Peytons. William Brady who lived in Keshcarrigan joined on horseback armed with pistols.
