London
suffered long under spells of all sorts of nasty epidemies, like the rest
of Europe. First, it was leprosy, and then, the Black Death itself - the Plague.
One
of the most digusting things in the whole exhibition was the animated model
of the "blood puking leper", here depicted in the right bottom corner.
Every two minutes he would start spilling out red liquid and making the most
disgusting retching noises. All in all, it was a very realistic way of portraying
leprosy, along with the dead woman fallen over at the table.
Did
I mention that these things look very realistic? Wouldn't you think that the
guy in the red robe at the right was real?
All that makes the scene just more horrible.
This is the Plague, by the way. This, or the other one was the PLague, and this
one is leprosy. Not like the two of them are very much different in there.
