Prendiville Phamily Photos
Here are some photographs of the Prendiville family, both current and historical... You'll see how stunningly handsome we are!
<- Mary and I on our wedding day, 16 August, 1986. Car borrowed...
-> This is a picture of Mary and some French guy we met in the street in Paris during an Interrail trip in 1987.
Amy photographed with mater and pater, Bray Promenade, Summer 1991.
<- Amy with some goatee friends. I'd hazard a guess and say that this was taken sometime in 1994. But I've been wrong before. I was wrong about the Twenty-Nine Year War, for example...
->And here's a picture of Amy and Cathy dating from 1995/96.
This is Amy and Cathy, photographed in Dun Laoghaire around the same period...
->And from the same photo-shoot, Cathy...
<- Here's a photograph from Autumn 1997 of my elder daughter Amy in her school uniform.
-> Amy, Cathy and the Da...
<- This is a picture of Amy, the Snake Woman, taken at a circus in Nenagh in 1998. Sssssscary...
And here she is again, this time in 1999 and accompanied by her father and a camel. Can you tell which is which?
-> My parents' wedding, on 11 July, 1951 (which, bizarrely, is 10 years before my wife's birthdate). Believe it or not, I know most of these people...from left:- Ellen O'Connor, my maternal grandfather; Dan "Danger" O'Connor, my maternal grandfather; my late uncle Garret Prendiville; my mother, Ita; my late father, Eamon. Right at the end of the back row is Ned Broderick, a relation of my mother. Front left is my uncle Connie O'Connor.
<- My aunt "Bouty" Prendiville, with Archibishop Redmond Prendiville, in Orstoylier...
And here she is again, before she became a nun...
<- The Prendiville family in the late 1920s, I'd guess. The adults in the picture are my grandmother, Teresa and my grandfather, E.G., neither of whom I met. The cute kid in front with the curls and the dress is my father...
Doing a valiant impersonation of Thelonius Monk in a dog-collar is my late uncle Tom Prendiville, who was a priest in Gosnells, outside Perth in Western Australia. I think someone had their supper on this photograph...
My grandmother, Teresa Prendiville in saintly company. She was a formidable lady, I'm reliably informed...:-)
<- My father, and canine friend, around the late 1930s
Again in the 1930s, my father and a not-petite lady in swimming cossies
Not Prendivilles, but the O'Connors, my mother's family. At the back, my grandfather, Dan "Danger", my uncle John, my grandmother Ellen. Scowling at the side is my uncle Connie. The two big girls in the middle are my aunts Eileen and Mary. The girl in the very front is my mother, Ita. Early 1930s, I reckon...
