Video-Conferencing,  what's it all about?

In school we have video conferences with a school in Ballysally. Ms Mc Carthy brings the video phone and the t.v screen into our classroom. Then she plugs in the phone and screen.  Once you pick up the phone you can see yourself if you stand in front of the little camera. You can see  the other school on the  t.v when you answer the phone and in the corner you can  see  you.  I think the video conferencing is a great idea in schools.   Aileen

I think video conferences are brilliant. We like seeing other children in different parts of Ireland.  We did a carol service with children in Ballysally school in Derry.  Lizzie

When we talked to Sacred Heart school in Killinarden we had a Norman quiz and they taught us a song, it was called Colours of Day. It was a good song.

I think it’s a great way to communicate with other schools. I was nervous. Grace

We like doing video conferences. We get very nervous and shy but it is good fun. We plug  a telephone into our plug and we have a big television in the room and we can see everybody. But we are not really shy anymore because we are getting used to it now.  Gariefa

We enjoy doing video conferencing with other schools in Ireland. We have different equipment to other schools and maybe that is how we couldn't see one school properly.   Ruth
