12/2/99 - City Back To Winning Ways

Cork City have pulled to within one point of St Pats after a 3-1 away win over Bray Wanderers. There was four changes to the team, which took the lead through Morley, the only first half goal. Bray equalised with an O'Connor goal, but O'Halloran replied within a minute. Pat Morley sealed the game with his fifth goal in five games, a career total of 146.

11/2/99 - FAI Tie Brought Forward A Day

The replay with Finn Harps has been brought forward a day to Tuesday, February 16, with a 7.30 kick off. This is to avoid clashing with the Man United - Arsenal game on Sky Sports.

9/2/99 - Ireland B Beat Dave Barry's Side 4-3

Ireland B beat the National League side, in an exciting game full of goals. The B side went up 3-0 in the first 15 minutes before Derek Coughlan pulled back a goal. The second started with a goal for Ireland B, but 2 goals for Dave Barry's team left the game ending 4 - 3. Coughlan, Daly, Hill, Cronin and Cahill started with Mooney and Freyne coming on as subs.

8/2/99 - Kilkenny City Drawn Against City Or Finn Harps

If Cork City overcome Finn Harps in their replay, they will play away to Kilkenny City in the Quarter - Finals. The tie is to be played on the weekend of March 5 - 7.

7/2/99 - Replay Needed After Dull 0-0 Draw

Cork City and Finn Harps will have to replay, Wednesday week, after today's 0-0 draw. There was few clear cut chances, as City have now gone 4 matches without a win. Morley, Dobbs and Caulfield were all guilty of missing chances, and Noel Hartigan managed to head over an easy chance. Finn Harps nearly won it at the death, only for Noel Mooney to pull off a great save.
