3/7/99 - City Finish Super Cup In 4th Place After Defeat

Cork City were left in 4th place in the Super Cup after a disappointing defeat at home to Bray Wanderers. After a scoreless first half, Brian Barry-Murphy gave City the lead. Bray then equalised after a mix-up in defence. Just as it seemed the match was heading for penalties, Bray grabbed a winner from a corner.

1/7/99 - St Pats Beat City In Super Cup Semi-Final

In the first game of the season, Cork went down 2-0 to St Pats. Trevor Molloy put his side ahead in the first half, before converting a second half penalty. In the other semi-final Shels beat Bray 2-0 to meet St Pats in the final. Cork will play Bray in the 3rd / 4th playoff.
