Keith Alford

My reasons for doing TYO are that I felt maturer before starting my Leaving Cert course. I also wanted to try out different jobs during my work experience.

I am interested in DJ'ing. I really enjoy mixing music and hopefully will end up working in a radio station.

My favourite school subject is our Music Appreciation class in English. We listen to all different types of music each week. I have contributed to our class.

The sport I most enjoy is tennis. I am a member Celbridge + District Lawn Tennis Club. I also enjoy watching Irish League soccer and I go to most of the St. Patricks Athletic Football Club matches.

I listen to dance music more than anything else and my favourite song is 4 Rhythm and Mark McCabe - Maniac '96 Live. Mark is my biggest inspiration as he started DJ'ing on a pirate radio station, Pulse FM, and now he is one of Irelands biggest DJ's on 2FM.

For my work experience I worked on Anna Livia FM as I am very interested in radio work and hope to be a radio DJ some day.So any offers.......
For my second work experience I worked as a mechanic. It was good as I never really thought of working in this field but now it might be another option for me.

For me the highlight of Transition Year was the Form + Fusion design awards. Even though we did not get through, being a part of the team which worked together and performed well in the heats was an unbelievable experience.
