TERMS OF REFERENCE

Fresh Water ­ consumption, quality and resources in the local area

The project consists of four parts:

• Introduction
• Research and First Report
• Comparison and discussion culminating in Second Report
• Evaluation

Introduction

Schools will exchange the following ­

• List of names of students involved
• Class picture of students
• Personal profile from each student
• A short introduction of the school.

Research and First Report

Haslev will send a list of substances to be investigated.
Each school carries out a biological analysis on the water and publishes its methods and results.
Each school conducts a survey on attitudes of local people to water, pollution etc.

Comparison and Discussion

On receipt of reports from its partners each school will compare its own results with those of the other schools. Any clarifications and questions arising from the reports will be discussed and a second report will be drawn up to include the comparisons and comments.
Evaluation

Each school will be asked to complete a short questionnaire, prepared by Haslev, on the project. The final evaluation of the project will take place at a planned meeting in Cologne in March.
