Background Information
Coláiste Mhuire was established in 1931 by the Christian Brothers, who remain its trustees, with the purpose of providing second level education through the medium of Irish. It has a tradition of high academic achievement, and its past-pupils include well known figures in business, politics, academia, music, sport and the broadcast media. Originally an all-boys school, Colaiste Mhuire has been co-educational since 1995.
