Ciaran McDonagh - Fr Murphy Athletic Club - First Irish Athlete to jump over 8M.

At the BLE National Championships held in Santry Stadium, Ciaran achieved a remarkable honour to be the first Irish man to jump over 8.00m.  Ciarans series of jumps included a championship best performance of 7.75m.   He went over the 8.00m mark twice in the long jump only to have both jumps negated by winds over the legal  2.0m/second limit.
