REVIEW 2000

Minor League (division 3) Lismore v Coolmountain Sunday 30th April
Coolmountain lose by four wickets . it was a lack lustre performance by Coolmountain who never really showed their potential . batting first on a virgin wicket which was slow and soft managed to score 107 in 40 overs which wasn't such a bad score considering this was the first game since last year, but it also a disapointing display losing four wickets in quick succession at the end of their innings, good performances with the bat came from Fred Callow, Pete Sherlock and Richard........... Lismores' bowling was opened by David Ind who put in a great performance with figures of 0 for 10 off 10 overs, the rest of their bowling was also fairly tight but it really was the poor shot selection by Coolmountain that was the deciding factor on the day.
After lunch it was Lismore who took control of the game, they did lose one wicket early on, but apart from that they never really looked like losing,  a great performance by Winston their opening batsman.... who scored 49 and good supporting roles by the rest of the team secured them a well deserved victory reaching their target with 4 overs to spare. Coolmountain fielding was also well below their usual standard. Lismore did not play their best cricket but Coolmountain played like headless chickens, although the wicket was bad for quick bowling they never seemed to adapt to the conditions and quickly found that minor league cricket requires a lot more effort if they are to do well
