TYPE OF CARE: is a mixture of free play & structured. The free play includes dressing
up, home corner, dolls & dolls house, road mat, toy animals, farm, train set, soft toys, sand
& water play. During these activities the children learn to use their imagination & interact
with other children, learning turn taking & consideration for others.
Art & Craft, including painting, wax crayons, markers, pencils, finger painting, chalks,
cutting & gluing, stickers & a great variety of other materials all provide a base for
learning. The more structured the play e.g. bricks, stickle bricks, bead threading, shape and
colour sorting, stacking, fitting and nesting toys, jigsaws, table games, play dough all help
with manipulation development & early pre-maths learning. Physical play includes a slide,
ride on top, rocking horse and climbing frame. We also have a small yard for ball games &
generally letting off steam. Toilet & sink facilities are available.
