Connacht Veteran Team

Connacht Veteran Team Winners of the 1999 Interprovincial Championships In Cork
Koriem Sabir, Teresa Caffrey-Egan, Kieran Burke and Oliver Adamson

Koriem started playing with Athlone RTC in 1981. He played in the second division in the Galway & District League and won then he moved up to the Premier Division and played with the winning Athlone Team in the 95/96, 96/97, 97/98 and 98/99 seasons. Koriem played on the winning Irish team at the festival of Youth in Italy in 1997. In 1999 Koriem represented Connacht and played on the winning Connacht Veteran Interprovincial team in Cork.

Teresa played for St.Augustine's Youth Club and now plays for the Commercial Boat Club, has represented Connacht at Junior, Senior and now Veteran level. Tersa has represented Galway at the Community Games and at the Federation of Youth clubs and played in the School Leagues on the Presentation Convent Secondary School winning team. Teresa won many local and club competitions during her table tennis career and continues to play in the Galway & District First Division.
Teresa played on the winning Commercial Boat Club Team who won the first division league in 1990, 1991 and 1996. She played on the winning Irish Team at the Festival of Youth in Italy 1997. Teresa is also a member of the Connacht Branch and the Commercial Boat Club Table Tennis Committees.

Kieran started playing local league in Athlone in 1978. first cap for Connacht seniors in 1983 and played continuously for the Seniors until 1994 when he played for the Connacht Veteran team and won the Interprovincial title in cork in 1999. Kieran was on the winning Irish Team at the Festival of Youth in Italy in 1997 and plays first division in the British Veterans League with Tommy Caffrey and Norman Nabney and is a member of the Irish Over 40 Team for the Quadrangulars in England in 1998 and 1999. kieran was on the winning Athlone Team who won the Premier League in the 95/96, 96/97, 97/98 and 98/99 seasons.

Ollie began playing in 1959 with Balbriggan T.T.C. He represented Leinster at Interprovincial level and won the Leinster Senior League 8 times. He came out of retirement in 1991 and represented Connacht at Veteran level and won the All Ireland Inter Counties Championships with Galway in 1997. He was selected to play for Ireland in the Quadrangular Internationals in England in 1999.
