St. Olaf's Newsletter
Parents' Voluntary Contribution.
A sincere thanks to all families who have returned
Voluntary contributions. To date, over 50% have paid and we encourage those,
who may have forgotten, to send in their contribution as soon as possible. Reminders
were distributed to all families recently and may be 'rotting' in schoolbags
awaiting rescue!
With your support, we will try to ensure that our school environment is well
maintained and pleasant for our pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
Parking!
May we take this opportunity to remind those of you who drive your children
to school to please respect the privacy of local residents and particularly
to refrain from parking at the Beeches. This can be extremely frustrating for
residents who often find it impossible to enter / leave their homes.
A survey will be carried out in the near future in relation to the possible
closure of the entrance at the Beeches. All parents will be consulted.
Your co-operation is greatly appreciated.

Recycling!
Every class in our school has been actively involved in gathering up recyclable
material (paper, cardboard, milk cartons etc) for the month of March. We transported
45 lge bagfuls to Dun Laoighre Rathdown Co. Council as our project for Eco Week
2004. The purpose of our project was to highlight the fact that schools are
not currently given green bins and as a result we end up dumping an enormous
amount of recyclable material!
St. Olaf's were awarded a prize for our project and we intend to continue our
efforts in this area into the future.
