Major refurbishments have recently been undertaken in the school and the place is looking really well. We acknowledge the contribution of the Parish Finance committee in this regard and, with your support, we will try to ensure that our school environment is secure, well maintained and pleasant for our pupils, parents, staff and visitors.

Christmas Carol Services

The annual parish Carol Service will take place in the church on Sunday, 17th. December at 4.00 p.m

We propose to have our School Carol Service in the school hall on Friday, December 22nd at  11 a.m.

The emphasis will be on enjoyment and each class group will sing a short selection of carols. Space will be scarce in the hall  as the entire school will be present, but there will be room for a limited number of parents should  you wish to join in the festive celebrations.

Maths Olympiads

An exciting new initiative was begun in November with our enrolment in the Mathematical Olympiad Programme. This involves a squad of up to 35 Mathletes from St. Olaf’s Senior Classes who partake in online Maths contests with students from all over the globe. This is an extremely challenging event and necessitates regular ‘training’ in problem-solving strategies.

Hallelujah Choir

Our senior choir had a fantastic night in the Point Depot when they were joined by over 3000 other children (the largest choir in Ireland) in their annual concert. Thanks to Ms. Cullen for all the time and effort put in to practicing and indeed on the night itself.

Mr. Hughes’ chess teams are currently taking part in the ESB Leinster Chess tournament. Chess Club meet every Monday after school.
