Fire Service Information System (FSI)
The Fire Service Information System (FSi) from OpenWare
Computing is a comprehensive application covering all
the main operational areas of the Fire Service. It was
developed in conjunction with both the Donegal County Council
and the Kildare County Fire Service and has been fully operational
for over 2 years.
The system has evolved into a comprehensive and robust product
that provides a reliable environment and user-friendly interface
through which data can be entered either "manually" or from
other external sources such as a mobilisation system or floppy
disk.
Based on data entered from the incident reports, payments
to the fire personnel, holiday pay, arrears, retainers and other
allowances are generated. The same data is used to generate
invoices that are then managed by the extensive accounting module.
Facilities are also provided to produce the annual Department of
Environment statistical reports.
