Discover Barcelona!

Introduction

Learning a language is not only learning the different linguistic aspects, but also learning a culture. This is the reason why we decided to build this activity, called "Discover Barcelona!".
As you are not learners of languages, I found websites, which are both in Spanish and in English. Of course if I were in a classroom of language, the linguistic aspect would be the main issue: learners at an advanced level would have to work only in the L2; beginners could use both versions. They could have two windows opened in the two different languages, so that they could shift from one to the other, compare words and so build a wider vocabulary.

Task

The aim of this activity is to plan a weekend using the references on-line, in order to familiarize yourself with a foreign city, in this case Barcelona. You will be left in Sants station at 6.00pm on a Friday with €300 in your pocket, and you will be collected at the same time on Sunday.
You have then to write a detailed report on how you organized the weekend, how you spend the money and some reflection on the activity, such as difficulties met during the task and how useful could be in an educational environment. The most interesting plan will win …!!!
