The kjjr is an organization set up by grand master shoto tanemura in 1991 in order to preserve the traditional schools of jujutsu and ensure correct instruction. the system is structured from
9th kyu to 10th dan similar to the genbukan. schools studied within the kjjr include asayama ichiden ryu, kukishin ryu and takagi yoshin ryu.
HONTAI TAKAGE YOSHIN RYU
Hontai means Fudoshin to maintain an immovable heart. Takage is the family name. Yoshin means Willow Heart.
In Eiroku 13 (1570) In Tohoku at Funakata mountain a monk by the name of Unryu who was an expert in Tai-jutsu, Bo-jutsu and Shuriken-jutsu passed on everything to the next generation head Ito
Ki-I No Kami Suketada who was also a specialist with the Yari (spear) and Naginata. His school was called Kenko Ryu. He taught everything to Takage Oriemon Shigenobu who in 1645 started his
own school, the "Takage Yoshin Ryu."
Oriemon gave the next Grand mastership to Takage Umanosuke Shigesada in 1671. He taught the school as Takage Yoshin Ryu Dakentai-jutsu, Bo-jutsu, So-jutsu, Naginata-jutsu and Senban Nage. His
son, Gennoshin Hideshige changed the name to "Takage Yoshin Ryu Jujutsu". A special guest at Gennoshin's dojo was Ohkuni Onihei Shigenobu who was the next generation Grand master of Kukishin
Ryu. He also received a Grand mastership from Gennoshin who died in 1702 so he became the fourth generation Grand master of both schools. He called these schools "Hontai Takage Yoshin
Ryu" and "Hontai Kukishin Ryu."
in 1841, the 13th generation Grand master was Yagi Ikugoro Hisayoshi, he gave Menkyo Kaiden to three masters, Ishitani Fujita and Ishibashi. Ishibashi had no students. Ishitani gave
all to his son Ishitani matsutaro Takakage who also received Menkyo Kaiden in Kukishin Ryu and Shinden Tatara Ryu from Akiyama Yotaro.
Takamatsu Toshitsugu Yokuoh received both the Ishitani and Mizuta line.
Takamatsu Sensei gave to Sato Kinbei Kiyaki the 17th generation Takage Yoshin Ryu and Kukishin Ryu Ishitani line.
November 1989 Tanemura Tsunehisa Minamoto no Shoto was given the 18th generation of both Ryu-Ha from Sato Kinbei Sensei.
