MKA 1500

Economical Leveller uses a self-contained hydraulic power unit for smooth, efficient, push-button operation.

Operation
All operations activated by single push-button control. Self-contained hydraulic power unit controls all functions of leveller, including positive hydraulic hold of extended lip with lip remaining yieldable at all times and fully powered as it returns to retracted position. Hydraulic system is of a regenerative nature with no lubrication of moving parts. Unit can service trucks 12" above and below dock. Guided hinge assemblies allow 4" deck cant for service to out-of-level trucks. Deck is free-floating with truck bed movement.

Structure
Leveller constructed of high strength steel for deck plate and lip. Deck plate welded to structural steel deck supports to provide firm support against underside of deck. Deck supports terminate at and are welded to steel header plates. Header plates are a minimum of 8" deep at front and full depth of deck supports at rear. Full width rear hinge is 1" dia. cold-rolled steel, shelf mounted, in compression (not sheer) on rear frame of structural steel shapes. Standard lip length is 16' (18' and 20' are available).

Hydraulics
The deck is raised by a main hydraulic cylinder mounted to the deck and base frame of the leveller. It is a self-contained hydraulic power unit with 1.5 GPM capacity pump and 1 hp. motor.

Safety Equipment
In-line velocity fuse system locks deck in position, (tests show less than 1"-3" drop) if truck departs from loaded deck. Leveller is equiped with full-range safety marked toe guards, night lock security system and a built-in service leg is provided. Fork slots on bottom of front frame allow safe in-transit and on-site handling.

Electrical
All operations are push-button controlled from NEMA 4X control enclosure. Standard motors include 208/220/440-volts, 3 phase, 60 cycle, or 115/208/220-volts, 1 phase, 60 cycle. Other voltages are available.

Dock Bumpers
Two heavy-duty molded rubber dock bumpers, 4" x 13" x 12" are standard.

Colour
Levellers are painted with slate blue acrylic enamel paint.

All Overhead Door/McGuire dock levellers can be supplied individually with bumpers or as part of a complete package including adjustable buffer seals and door.
