CV's and business plans can be had from the office. Access to the internet is open to students. Information to business people and anyone wishing to gain Information. Literature on Citizens Information, Social Welfare, Taxation, Health matters, Benefits Housing and Education is all available from the office. Local farmers make use of the photocopier for payment of the Head age Grants. The students summer Job Scheme is administered from the office. A Local Newsletter is also produced a number of times a year. The C.E. FAS Scheme and payroll is a part of the office workload. The office is a huge benefit to the community being such a long distance from local towns it is necessary to have such facilities available locally. Without the help of FAS this would not be possible. The office is very efficiently administrated by Maura Mangam whom the group highly respects Tel: 068 46003

Knocknagoshel Community Group The group was first formed in March 1998. Five Local Community Groups came together to form a working committee. The objective of the group is to assist worthwhile projects that have been identified as a benefit to the area and will help to improve environment.
|
The G.A.A. club having purchased a 6 acre field for development, the project will include a playing pitch, dressing rooms, gym and parking area. The progress to date is: the boundary wall is near completion, the final touch is now put to the building, all inside work is near completion. The chairman of the club likes to take this opportunity to thank the FAS C.E. workers for the wonderful quality of the work carried out so far. It is hoped to have the gymnasium opened by October. All the facilities will be available to the handicapped and the elderly and are user friendly. |
