Dunguaire
Castle was once a stronghold of the Kings of
Connaught. In keeping with its noble heritage the
Castle today plays host to superb mediaeval
banquets. Dunguaire's banquet is an enchanting
evening, with food to please the palate and
entertainment to lift the soul. Much of the work
of Synge, Shaw and O'Casey draws upon Irish
history, myth and legend for its inspiration.
While you enjoy fine food and wine, Dunguaire's
artists will inspire you with the profound and
the humourous.
