The
largest house in Tuam, once the private residence
of Church of Ireland Archbishops and later the
dormitories of a girl's boarding school, is now
part of O'Toole's Super Valu Supermarket and home
to the Palace Restaurant. The restaurant's decor
beautifully assentuates the high ceilings and
windows of this historic home built in 1721 by
Archbishop Edward Synge, Great Grandfather of the
playwright John Millington Synge. The Palace
offers an a la carte along with full breakfast
and lunch menus.
OPENING HOURS: Monday to Saturday: 8.30am - 5.30pm.
Late opening on Friday until 7.30pm.
