St.Brigid's Hurling Club Notes

Hurling League.

We had our first outing in the hurling league on Sunday last in Rochfortbridge with Cullion providing the opposition. After a tense high scoring game we emerged victorious on a scoreline of St. Brigids 5 – 7  Cullion 2 – 12. Despite being short a number of regulars through injury or exam tied this was an excellent start to the season with all concerned giving 100% for the hour. The team and subs used was as follows: Eamon Gallagher, Liam Casey, Noel Gavin, Damien Gallagher, Adrian Gallagher, Damien Loran, Philip Sheridan, John Maloney, Kevin Connell, Jay Faulkner, Pat Hayes, Ger Gill, Jonathan Sheridan, Paul Brady, Jimmy Gallagher and Nollaig Mc Entegart.

Forthcoming Game

We are scheduled to play Castletown Geoeghegan in Rochfortbridge on Sunday in the next game in the league. Please see fixtures for details.

Juvenile Training  

With the advent of Summer time juvenile training for under 8’s and under 10’s moves outdoors on this Monday after spending the winter in St. Josephs Hall Rochfortbridge.

Grand National Sweep 

Those who have cards for the forthcoming Grand National Sweep are requested to return them to the committee on or before this Thursday as the draw for horses will be made on that night.
