FE 21 Championship
On Sunday last in Robinstown we qualified for the final of the Fe21 championship by virtue of a 3-9 to 2-4 win over Brownstown. On a morning not conducive to good hurling both sides gave of their best and served up some fine patches of hurling. The foundation for this win was laid in the first half when aided by a stiff wind we scored 2-7 to Brownstowns 0-2.This lead proved insurmountable and hard as Brownstown tried in the second half they were unable to get within striking distance of us. This was a good team performance with everyone doing their bit and a repeat of Sundays performance should see us in with a good chance in the final which will probably be played within the next two weeks or so. The team and fir ionad were as follows David Glennon, Adrian Gallagher, Damien Gallagher, Denis Glennon, Philip Sheridan, Gordon Gonoud, Michael Geraghty, Damien Loran 0 –1, Thomas Geraghty 0 -1, Larry Poynton
1 –0, Seamus Faulkner, Dermot Faulkner 1 – 7, Jonathan Sheridan 1- 0, Joe Bradley, Adrian Eighan, John Lanigan.
Table Quiz
Don’t forget our forthcoming table quiz which will be held in Wallaces Dalystown on Friday November 15th commencing at 9.30 pm sharp. For this event to be a success it is important that everyone makes an effort to organise a team for this event. Team of four 20 Euro.
