St.Brigid's Hurling Club Notes

On Sunday next April 31th we play Southern Gaels in Athlone at 11.00 am.

On Saturday night March 16^th we held a fundraising auction in Wallaces Dalystown. This proved to be a very successful and enjoyable function with a large crowd in attendance.

The club wishes to express its thanks to Tommy and Martha Mangan, for the use of their premises, Gerry Gavin for acting as auctioneer, to everyone who donated items for sale, those who purchased items and all who contributed in any way to the success of the venture.

Last Wednesday night marked the end of indoor hurling for this year. It had been running very successfully since Christmas with approximately thirty boys and girls taking part each night. Many thanks to Nollaig McEntegart for providing excellent coaching and also to Michael Flanagan, Sean Gallagher, Marius Gavin, Jimmy Gallagher and Jimmy Keegan for helping out. Training moves outdoors after Easter, more details next week.
