Mould Design

Flexibility is an important component of Stet's approach to tool design and manufacturing and our philosophy is to use methods that suit the type and complexity of the tool. Within our design office we maintain both a conventional and computer aided design facility to reflect differing customer requirements.

We have our own in-house designers who constantly liase with the customers and our manufacturing section to ensure that no problems occur during the manufacturing process. Their expertise and experience can ensure that both small and large projects can be handled efficiently to the highest standards.

Design Picture The CAD system is fully 3-dimensional, run on a Sun IPX workstation. We use Autocad Release 12 in conjunction with Camould Mould Design utility software. We use IGES and DFX connectors for data transfer.
We use Smartcam software run on the Sun IPX workstation. This system is linked to all CNC equipment.

We have DNC links with all our CNC machines as well as to our co-ordinate measurement machine.
