Butterflies.

The flutter

of flittering things

wakes her.

Canvas torn,

her twin sailed wings

untether.

The prettiest

boats cannot charm the storm,

neither

can her

bright scaled face the wind.

Like her

many painted ladies die

and butterflies are rare

in this weather.
