'Alibi'
provided the musical entertainment, playing a
mixture of show band type stuff for all the
'jivers' keen to strut their stuff, and a more
modern mix for all of us who have taste in music
(!).
There
were presentations to Pat Doorey and the three
selectors by Donal Hanly on the behalf of the
players.
While
the presentations were being given out, Sean
Collins had a word or two to say about all the
lads, leaving a few red faces on the
podium.
Guests
on the night included Dr. Hugh Gibbons, member
of the 1933 county final winning side, and
member of the roscommon team that won two
All-Irelands in teh 1940's.
There
was an exceptionally good set-up for the night,
with a seperate room provided to accomadate
increased interest, a video link-up ensuring no
missed out. A nice booklet was left at every
seat giving details of the plans for the
night.
The
Dance was a complete success, everyone enjoying
themselves even the under 21's who were on
strict instructions to 'take it
easy'.
